Mountain Rescue Service 2.3.4

The Mountain Rescue Service application allows you to request help with one button in case of emergency, share your location with rescuers, and provides information on weather, alerts, and terrain.

Help Request

You can request help with just one button. By pressing the button, you send an emergency message and connect to the Mountain Rescue Service dispatch. In addition to GPS location, you share health data, problem specifics, contacts of close persons, and other important information that speeds up assistance.

Hiking Logbook

Caution in the mountains is never enough; therefore, plan your hike thoroughly. An electronic logbook for hikes and excursions will assist you in selecting the movement area, starting point, destination, and duration of the hike. Additionally, you will receive warnings and alerts about natural or other life-threatening events in the area. If we have this information about you and you do not contact us after the hike, we will come to assist you.

Points of Interest

Based on your GPS, the application determines your location and shows you regional centers of the Mountain Rescue Service, the nearest rescue medical stations, a database of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), mountain huts, weather stations with current weather information, including webcams.

Warnings and Alerts

Do not rely on nothing happening to you; trust the application instead. It will display alerts for Slovak mountain areas for that day, avalanche risks, weather conditions so you can return home safely. If you are not an expert, we also offer mountain movement rules, a mountain rescue "ten commandments," basic first aid principles, including an interactive resuscitation guide.

Functionality Abroad

You can also request help with one button in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Austria, where emergency calls and SMS are redirected to the respective country's medical or mountain rescue service. One application will assist you in multiple countries without the need to download a local app.
